Medvedev says he would name Putin as Russian prime minister

MOSCOW: A day after President Vladimir Putin endorsed a loyal protégé, Dmitri Medvedev, as his successor, Medvedev went before the nation Tuesday and declared that he in turn wanted to name Putin as his prime minister.

The announcement could bring to a close questions about how Putin intends to wield influence over Russia after his term ends next year. Putin is barred by the Constitution from running for a third consecutive term, but he had indicated in recent months that he had no intention of giving up all his power when he stepped down in the spring

Well I take what I said back. Apparently the speculation is heating up again that Putin is trying to stay in power and he's appointment as PM is just a step towards that.

What is it with this politicians and power that is so hard to give up?

Power and Greed is a hard substance for some to live without
Polititiions are just thugs and criminals in power who just care about their own well beings,

(this goes for almost all countries)
