Music is the way to relax for me too, no kids in the house, a carton of beer and a bottle of bourbon and any of my old 70's or 80's metal vinyl LP's, played loud enough for the neighbours to complain after about the 3rd record.

When i was in college, the way to relax was get rat-arsed and have a hangover.

Oh how this has changed in a 1 and a half.

Right now is how i am relaxing, after a good old fashion HARD DAY'S WORK and to settle down with a pack of beers and get merry, chill to a bit of Loretta Lyn and sing " if you don't wanna go to fist city".

God by the sound of it i am about 104 but i am only 20!

Give me a Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon i will be out on the town but mid week this is how i relax.

Good old trackie and hoodie to keep me warm and a pack of 8 cold Carlsberg... This is the life!

Hmmmmm. Where was i??

I like to sit around and think of Moral quotes from famous people, like MLK,
Gandi, Truman Capote, Cher etc.

This one just sprang into my conciousness and the resulting relaxation is
exquisite.

"Even the LLama should stick to MaMa"

and sometimes I like to start small fires and dance the tarantula.

I log off from ATS (away from belligerent people who make my blood pressure go up) and watch some nature documentary on TV that excludes humans. Or I go to sleep.

I read.

It takes me minute to get into the book, but once I'm in, I go into my own little word, and when I come back out, I forgot why I was even stressed in the first place.

Well, steam bath, oriental massage, fancy & out of town spas. These are just some of the escapades.

Foot massage is also soothing. Very popular here in Vietnam and cost 4 to 5 USD per hour.

Mmmm, I think I will go after work.

And let's not forget arts and crafts to put us in that mellow mood.

Making wax figures with bits of hair and fingernail parings is oh so relaxing. Sharpening up the pins, preparing the alter and fire, the trip to the 7/11 for the rum and candles.

And the dancing and invoking Moloki the brawney. The trance,

Easy livin large!!!

I got my eye on you!!!

I relax when I go into total lock down of the house.

I put signs on the door to not disturb.
Turn on the external cameras with audio.
Lock the doors and set the bars on for reinforcement.
Shut off all the phones or so they go to a message box.
Music playing or a TV turned on to drown out any external noise.
All the blinds down and all the curtains closed so the light can't come in.

Then I fix something.
I'll repair the vacuum cleaner, work on a computer, correct a document, etc....

I feel my best when I shut out the world to work on something that takes my concentration.

Omg that sounded almost like me. I close the blinds and shut my door, and go to my room and hang out to relax. I cannot relax in other room except my own.

My favorite relaxation tool is an ice cold beer or a cool glass of bourbon.

Combine this with a comfortable spot on the couch and free-reign of the remote control, and I'm in heaven.

Forgetting ATS for a bit seems to help.

I usually play some Madden or Command and Conquer 3.

I use to be quite the fan of Voyage Century Online (free mmorpg), but my wi-fi doesn't allow me to play it properly haha. Same goes for War Rock.

As far as Madden goes, there is just something comforting about beating the Falcons (with Vick) 117 to 0.

Alas, due to a huge conspiracy this is illegal in most parts of the world, but were it not, smoking the Sacred Herb would be my relaxation method of choice!

For me, absolutely nothing beats it (but at the same time it's not for everyone).

How ridiculous is it that I am prevented from growing and enjoying A PLANT because of stupid, prejudicial, and greedy lawmakers?

Isn't America supposed to be the "Land of the Free"? It isn't freedom if you don't get a choice!
