I share the view that life begins at conception.

And i hold that the "individuals'' life commences at birth/seperation from birth mother.

all that other extraneous stuff is just subjective ideology, moral imperatives, beliefs.... whichwe are all entitled to have.
The law of the land is the rule & guideline we are obliged to follow,
until that rule of law is changed or modified,
thanks,

What about the original posters opening biblical passages of "The babe leaped into her womb"

Does that not suggest life before conception?

Who the hell are you to criticise someone who has been raped? What gave you the moral highground to tell someone who has been violated in the most disrespectful manner what they should do? You write in the style of a petty dictator who doesn't know what they are talking about and has obviously never experienced the pain of being raped, or having someone in your family who has been raped, or even knowing someone who has been raped.

Rape is not the private "domain" of women. Abortion is not about rape, its about hate. So get off that "high" horse of yours. Why hate the unborn child so much you are compelled to murder it? Forgive the rapist, then send him to God to be judged. Don't send the child to God to judge YOU.!!!!!!!!! Rape isn't about "disrespect" either, its about violence.......

By aborting the child you are passing the violence from the rapist to the child. Why punish the innocent?

As for God "letting" things happen, that is the typical rant of the religiouly uneducated and ignorant christian hater.

God bless you, may he open your eyes to truth. Abortion is premeditated capital MURDER in every possible way.

Again what is the difference bewteen murdering the unborn and someone like "baby grace"? Only time................

Different subject, but NO, it is intended to show life begins at conception, the joining of two into ONE. The instant the genes combine, unless some outside force is applied, a human child will be born.

The law of the land was once to kill the disabled, was that OK? It is still ok in many contries to kill girl children, is that OK? The law once allowed for blacks to be "owned" by others, an many were murdered as so much "livestock", was that OK?

This is about God's law, not mans..............

i cant believe thatyou expect a woman to forgive a rapest but abortion is murder.
why dot you come out of the middle ages and wake up.

until you experience rape why dont you keep your preaching to your self.

and all this its a womans DUTY to have the child, you idiot im sorry buy what about the rapists duty to control their selves.

it is the womans body and if she has the child she has got to bring it up and care for it what happens if she hasnt got the things needed to feed, cloth and shelter the child.
what then is your GOD going to coff up then.
wheres the rapist then are they going to contrubute to the childs welfare? would the woman want them to.

a womans body is hers and hers alone and if she wants to abort then its her choice.
and when it comes to rape she has obviously not had the choice to conceive the child.

you are one sick individual to take this hate for abortion on raped women.

im all for people having their own opinion but forceing oit down peoples throuts and then calling them murderers is just sick

I see the words "anti-islam" where you describe your mood in your avatar, and I wonder why they are there, because its clear from what you write that you obviously share similar principles to a lot of islamic fundamentalists.

You describe me as a "christian hater" - I would dispute that. I hate fundamentalists, and you clearly are one.

What a surpise.. another thread by a fundumentalist where they use the bible to condemn abortion yet completely ignores the fact that the bible says that all people including women are granted free will under god. Trying to control what we can and can't do with our own bodies violates that free will and disrespects the founding princibles that christianity is based on.

Leviticus Chapter 17 Verse 11, "The life is in the blood" and in verse 14, "for the life of all flesh is its blood." And even earlier in God's instruction to Noah, the Bible says, "you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood" (Gen. 9:4). And again in Deuteronomy 12:23, "the blood is the life."

Darn those parts of the Bible that don't support the Fundamentalist cause! Oh heck, let's just conveniently ignore them, or invent some odd new translation of some pretty cut-and-dry statements so that they suit the needs of the fundies.

For the record, if life begins when we "leap into the womb," I would say very few people in the history of earth are alive by that definition. I know that I have never leapt into my mother's womb. I sure hope none of you view your mother's special bits as being loose enough to allow such a feat...

edit to add:

Blood doesn't flow until between weeks 4 and 5.

However, when a woman is pregnant due to rape ... why on earth would you wish to add murder to her list of problems that she is dealing with? That's insane. It is hard enough on a woman who has been raped to deal with that, but to add murdering her own child - that's just adding insult to injury.

. . .

There is always a right answer. In the case of abortion the right answer is this - No abortion unless the life of the woman is in danger. Period. Anything else is murder and just adds the mental stress of murdering her child upon the woman.

Question for you...
Ending a life = ending a life. So by your definition, ending a life to save a life (abortion because mom's life is in danger) is not murder, but "anything else is just murder." I didn't realize that God made exceptions to the commandments. Even if a woman's life is in danger, that innocent baby that everyone keeps talking about had nothing to do with how it got in the ol' uterus in the first place... why does it have to die? Why can't mom just take one for the team?

Then you talk about "adding insult to injury" by having a raped woman abort her baby. What if abortion is not an option to her? What about adding insult to injury by forcing a woman to give birth to a baby that she doesn't want, and forcing her body to go through all of the changes that come with pregnancy? What about adding insult to injury, by telling a raped woman what she should do, and how she should feel, and calling her a murderer?

I am Catholic. I am pro-life AND pro-choice. I believe that the choice should exist for women, but I hope that women would choose life. I have endometriosis. It will probably be hard for my husband and I to conceive a child. I met never be able to get pregnant at all. That being said, if I am raped, and become pregnant by my rapist- baby is getting aborted. Ectopic pregnancies are more common among women with endometriosis, and can cause serious internal damage or death to a woman. If my doctor recommended terminating, I would. Those are my personal feelings on abortion. I wanted to put that out there, before people started making assumptions about me.

I have always wanted to ask the hardcore pro-life crowd a series of questions. Do you believe in the death penalty? Do you want to be kept alive by machines when you are old and sick, or would you rather be taken off of life support and allowed to die? Do you eat meat? Go hunting? Ever set a mousetrap, or used a fly swatter? Ever euthanized a pet? God said "Thou shalt not kill." He didn't make exceptions. All life belongs to him. You don't get to tell others that they are immoral for their decisions when the choices of your daily life also end lives that God created.

Some people here are applying their personal values to other people, which you cannot do. Religion is fine for those who want it, but throwing it in other people's faces to justify treating women as second to a fetus, particularly the product of a rape, is despicable.

What happened to "judge not lest ye be judged?" Or does that only apply when you decide it does?

I do, because they did the crime knowing the penalty...
They can repent on their way to the chair.

Whatever happens, happens, I would keep my husband or child alive for as long as I could.

Do you eat meat? Go hunting? Ever set a mousetrap, or used a fly swatter? Ever euthanized a pet? God said "Thou shalt not kill." He didn't make exceptions.

Except for government punishments and necessary animal products or to kill a crazed animal.

It's about WARNING others, for me.

BTW, terminating an ectopic pregnancy is not the same as killing a child that could live in the eyes of God. Peace

In simplest terms, you generally start with two living things and end up with one, so clearly at least one was lost along the way even under the best circumstances, eh? The fact is what usually happens during fertilization is death and destruction on the scale of a micro-genocide, with an occasional lone pair of improbable survivors fusing in the midst of the chaos. But scientifically, if you want to be simple and accurate, there is not a single step in early human development that goes from non-life to life.

I know this link is a bit political, but the meat of the science is there. Life does not begin at conception, because you are not starting from non-life. You are starting with two live things which, through the process of killing off a ton of others, then become one live thing.

This thread belongs in social issue even when the OP is preaching, is not conspiracy here, just bible quoting and the heated opinion of the posters.

So I will ask the thread started, to show where the conspiracy is in his opening bible quotes.
