What are some of the best movie themesongs off the soundtrack that I could easily download and write a good paper about? It's about the basic elements of music.

If you don't have a good one for writing on, what's your favourite?

Me: Richard it's Business as Usual - The Beach

The best movie themes are the James Bond theme, the theme to Star Wars, adn the them to The Good the Bad and The Ugly.

The Lord of the Rings movies have great soundtracks check those out.

Are you looking for classical soundtracks i.e with classical instruments or more modern ones like the soundtrack for the Matrix?

It doesnt matter, though I'm sure I would get a better grade if it was classical. Thank you very much for the ideas!

Your welcome also look for Braveheart, and Gladiator they are both very good soundtracks. I know Gladiator has one but I'm not 100% on Braveheat.

Soundtracks ought to be taken as a whole, otherwise they're just a compilation of songs aren't they?

Clockwork Orange
Powaqqatsi
Requiem For A Dream

The soundtrack to Shaft and Pulp Fiction are my two favorites. Shaft was such an awesome guy. He was the cat who didn't cop out when there was danger all about.

I think Mision: Impossible is the most instantly recognisable theme there is. You can twist it remix it and it still remains that way.

Close second I think is, Indiana Jones.

If you want a classical movie song try Adagio for Strings.

It is most prominently featured in Platoon, but has been in other movies. A very moving song.

Wendy Carlos was the man. The epitome of a pioneer.

Berbers Adagio is a pretty smooth piece too. Thanks for the advice erryone!

Hey, I forgot about that one, Colonel. It was good. My picks would have to be "Blade Runner" and "The Breakfast Club"
