Say a dinosaur for some reason DID survive... Which dinosaur would it be and why? I know, it is impossible for anything to have survived. But for arguments sake....

IMO I would say either a deep sea creature or something which inhabited a remote part of the amazon or jungle. But then again that landscape probably changed drastically since that time. So your guess is as good as mine.

To answer your question there were a few creatures from that time that did make it. Crocodiles, sharks, and plesiosaurs all made it through though some would argue that plesiosaurs do not currently exist. I do not believe thought hat any land dwelling dinosaurs made it through.

If something was to servive from pre-historic times, it would have to be an ocean bound thing. i don't know any specific types, but something not too big, so that it wouldn't have to eat very much. Also it would have to be undesirabe when it came to food. something that could withstand ocean turbulance, extreme cold and lives in deep water. maybe something like that still exists we just havn't found it... deep deep in the ocean

Yeah, some type of deep sea creature. Isn't the statistic like 95% (maybe more) of the worlds oceans have never been explored...

cockroaches... crocs... some fish... bacteria... deep ocean types

and if they'd be anywhere besides the ocean maybe in the amazon like TheThinker said... or maybe in that rain forest in the world's deepest canyon. like it's forbidden for anyone to go in there ever, so there must be some reason.

Like i said before "and plesiosaurs all made it through though some would argue that plesiosaurs do not currently exist." The Loch Ness monster is a plesiosaur.

The theory of Dinosaurs (NOT just veloceraptors) is exactly that. -A threory
a THEORY on how dinos arent related to birds....remember, its all theoretical.

But I think monk is talking about if they SURVIVED, unchanged.
I dont think that they would tho.

NetStorm: The first Coelacanth found alive is in the museum in my home town. East London, its in south africa. The museam also has the worlds last dodos egg.

The colca canyon of peru is the world's deepest canyon, at 11,000 ft., it is twice as deep as the grand canyon. It is inhabited, and is a tourist destination. I don't see "forbidden" on it anywhere.
