I don't know what Israel is really thinking here. The comments by the former Israeli PM are very telling in the way he suggested that they were already waiting for the U.S. To launch an attack in Iran.

I for one would like to see what kind of intelligence Israel has on Iran, but even if they have some outstanding evidence I don't think they will have the backbone to launch an attack on Iran, not after that showing in Lebanon of 2 summers ago.
