He is awsome, One of the best musicians I know of. My favorite song by him would be Rainy Day Women #12 and #15.
So, any other fans?

Bob Dylan has been/is the most important musical influence in my life.

Even though currently I am solid with the blues, Dylan and his musical style and lyrics is my benchmark.

good thread

Out of the grand magesterium that comprises Dylan's work, you choose this as your favourite?

For your own sake, I do hope you are joking.

As far as my "favorite" Dylan song, it's going to have to be this...

I like the politically aware stuff, but this song has always done it for me.

A guitar player in my current group thinks that "Girl from the North Country" may be the best song ever written. And he's an attorney.
I like this one..

bob dylan, imo is clearly in a category all his own..'i think most bands/artists that came out post 1962 are/were nfluenced by dylan and that includes artists today..
i am talking 'artists', not this bubble gum crap that is in the mainstream..

his catalogue is insane...the sheer volume of work he has put out and the respect his fellow musicians show him says it all right there.

i mean the guy has been active for 48 years....

that is respectful in it's own right

It's a fun song. I like it because my life's been like that, except fo er the getting stoned bit.
And I am a bit really, I like Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts, or Shelter from the Storm better, but I listen to them a lot.

Yes, I think Blood on the Tracks is my favourite album as well. They say you have to have been divorced from someone you really loved to get it - I agree with that too. Even the self-pity in If You See Her, say Hello is somehow transcendent.

To tell the truth, though, my favourite Dylan song is probably the one I'm listening to at any given moment. There are plenty of turkeys too, but we don't talk about them.
