You folks are fantastic. Thank you for all the great posts on this thread, my first. Thank you AmericanJones, the information on Cannabinoids and neurogenesis further confirms the healing properties of this beneficial substance and the absurdity of its prohibition.
Lifestudent your observations are intelligent and wise
You would think that such a study would have been real news. I think one reason people are looking to alternative/less mainstream news sources, in spite of the S/N ratio is that a lot of the interesting or important stuff isn't available in the mainstream any longer, especially if it supports anti-policy views.
and is an appropriate segue into a look at what has happened to this thread since I originally posted it as Alternative Breaking News on Above Top Secret. Obviously it has been moved from there to here at Above Politics.
When I questioned the individual ATS staffer who made the decision to move the thread, I was informed simply that,
Ummm.. it's a story about political candidates and their views on a political issue. It belongs on Above Politics.
To which I replied:
Dear Xxxxxx,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I joined ATS in Sept., I have never posted or viewed the AP board before this incident. I'll explore it more, yet from what I"ve seen so far, since you moved my thread, it's dead.
In the short time my thread was on ATS it attracted over 500 views. Since you moved it, well, not so much. It's too bad too, because several other members made valuable contributions during its short lifespan on ATS. I'm sure it would have gone on for a while longer.
I don't want to make a big deal out of this and technically I guess you are in the right. However, as a member, volunteer content provider and ATS promoter I think you made a mistake.
I hope you will reconsider and move my thread back to ATS.
Thank you for your kind consideration...
If you review the Alt news you'll find other stories, like the one featured here, involving "political candidates and their views." I'm not a troublemaker and I'm happy to follow the rules. If I know what they are. I just don't like double-standards or selective enforcement of either drug laws, or ATS rules.
I apologize to all of you who have taken the time and effort to post to this thread, which is now probably dead.
