Important News!
In preparation for shutting down SETI@home Classic (in about 1 month, hopefully) we're trying to make sure that SETI@home Classic accounts are linked
to the proper SETI@home/BOINC account. This is a bit complicated because of email address changes.
BOINC v4.25 is the latest stable release. There's a test release of v4.26, and v4.27 (depends on platform). However, v4.19 works just fine still.
Transistion plan here:

The Seti@home Classic stats have been updated recently on the Seti@home BOINC user stats page. Expect a few more before S@H is turned off.

"You have been added to the team AboveTopSecret.com"
OK, Now what? I don't even have the software loaded on my system yet. I guess I should head over to seti to D/L it.
I sure hope we get all the credits I accrued in the past. I used to run Seti quite a bit but eventually went to other things.
My system now should also be able to run more of the things as well. I have an authentic Pentium 2.4 with 1024 mgbs of Ram. I look forward to seeing
how many blocks it can do in a day now.
Oh well, off to the Seti site.
Love and light,
Wupy

Also, in the S@H Classic forums it says:
WARNING: We will soon be ramping down these message boards and we highly encourage everybody to start using the BOINC message board system:
setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu...
Of course, you'll have to register your account with BOINC to post new messages there. In case you haven't done so, information is here:

The earliest that the S@H servers will shutdown is April 1. And that's no joke. You could be sure that the servers will be down by Mid-May to
Mid-June. There will be a few steps before this happens though. They're already recommending switching to BOINC on the S@H Classic frontpage and in
their forums. Step 1 should happen soon. Steps 2-4 will happen between the time that email is sent out and after April 1. These dates are TBA still,
and I will provide another update stating these specific dates.
Step 1: An email will go out to all users saying to upgrade to BOINC
Step 2: Account creation will be disabled
Step 3: Workunits will be stopped for Seti@home Classic
Step 4: The data server for Classic will be turned off. S@H Classic will no longer send workunits or accept results. Functions to update account
information are also disabled. They will update the BOINC account database with current information from S@H Classic one final time. At this point the
Classic statistics are frozen (though they may continue to eliminate 'cheaters').
At this time, the program won't really do much, so it's time to uninstall/delete Seti@home Classic from computers.

I haven't seen an ATS E@H team.
In News:
"We are switching the setiathome.berkeley.edu... URL to point here (setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/). The SETI@home Classic web site has been moved to
seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu...."

ATS Mods, should we start an Eistein at home team for those of us that run the E@h units also. And...how many of us Seti Runners run Einstein?

About two weeks ago, SimonGray gave me permission to create ATS teams for the other BOINC projects. I forgot about it, I was working on other BOINC
stuff for ATS.
I'll create them later today
What I dont know is what the CPID (cross project ID) is actually for. I understand you can link two accounts to one another, but can you also use the
same account for all the BOINC projects, or do you have to create seperate accounts for every project???
I'll look into it, if I dont figgure it out in a few hours, I'll just create new accounts for every BOINC project and create the ATS teams with the
new accounts.
I'll let you guys know when it's ready, please dont create ATS teams yourself, let me handle that.

"We are going to be reviving the SETI@home beta site soon (if it isn't up already). There's some last minute science changes that should be tested
before we final throw the switch and start shutting down SETI@home classic."
This was taken from a forum thread on the S@H site, said by a developer.

It appears that "Seti@home Enhanced" will replace "Seti@home" on BOINC. This enhanced version is being beta tested.

"We turned off the ability to create new SETI@home classic accounts. All new users should download and use the BOINC version of SETI@home
instead."
This is posted on the Seti@home Classic homepage. This is no joke. This is the REAL thing.

There will be a 1-2 month warning after the emails go out, before Seti@home Classic is shutdown. The email will basically tell people to switch to
BOINC to continue Seti@home (and other projects). As of this post, the emails have NOT gone out yet. We still have time. Anyone trying to reach a goal
such as 5000, 7500, etc. I highly recommend that you concentrate on that then, instead of BOINC. With a 1-2 month warning period, that leaves August
1, 2005 to be the earliest that S@H Classic will end. Classic workunits will end before it shuts down, which means that it may be wise to cache
workunits using a program such as SETI Monitor. Good luck to all trying to reach their final Seti@home Classic workunit goal!
