Found this video

www.youtube.com...

Absolutely fascinating when you think about it.

It seems the Zebra knew or presumed it would be safer in the water as it must have learned the technique used by lions to bring down prey.

It then appears the zebra tried to actually drown the lioness, which is an incredible feat on its own but add to that that the zebra must have been working out what to do next.

It must have had conscious thought and imagination and a process of working things out going on in its brain as the situation continued.

Fantastic bit of film. Never thought I'd see anything quite like that. What we presume about animals is obviously very wrong.

I've always believed that they have just as much brain activity as we do.
We are not superior.

Shame the video cuts off just before you find out what was wrong with the lioness.

# is amazing! There's another one that shows a crocodile that catches a Zebra by the side.. Zebra doesn't panic and bites it's eye, croc lets go, zebra books it! Amazing the survival instincts that take place when life is in danger, regardless the animal. Life is pretty amazing sometimes.

Not sure... could just be circumstance.

Certainly looks like a counter-manoeuvre.

Having said that.... here's another Zebra Prevails video.

Makes you wonder
