If you are a Stephen King fan then this is a Movie for you.
Classic King formula with the moral question wrapped in very scary stuff.
Some good CGI monsters, fair script with lots of contemporary profanity, descent characterizations.

I thought the concept was very intriguing but was never fully developed in the movie. Shock and gore seemed to be the focal point of the Director Frank Darabont.

The high point in the movie for me was the great performance of Marcia Gay Harden as a very believable messianic nut case.

I could have skipped this movie in the theater for $16 bucks and waited for the DVD, but then you would have missed this review.

The best I can give this film is dancing jesters. Sorry.

You mean the monsters weren't real????

I suppose I will have to drop my rating of the film now.
