I was looking for a wallpaper picture and came on to this webpage where i found this picture:


now what i am interested in is in the black spots that are on the picture.. i looked through other eclipse pictures on this website and none of them has these black spots. any ideas ? sattelites maybe ?

Could be camera spots, could be watermarks.
Could be photoshopped.
Could be anything. I don't know if I were going to go as far as sattellites, but I have heard a theory that while the astronauts were on the moon, they found evidence of a past civilizations, and this could be a type of sattellite or something man made or maybe something E.T. made. Not a clue what it is, but one would guess.

i would disagree with the photoshop version.. take a look at the source. why would NASA put things on it, more likely to remove
though it could be some dust particles or something else on the telescope lense

This looks to me like it may be camera spots or a dirty lens.
It seems as though similar spots have been edited out of this image, taken later in '94, perhaps after an incident with the lens in or prior to '88.

They do however look like creepy planets, like dense moons of steel orbiting near the suns surface.
