A 47 year old woman from Tennessee has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Janet Jackson. The suit contends that Jackson's exposure and other "sexually explicit conduct" during halftime festivities caused viewers to "suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." The lawsuit has been filed on behalf of all Americans.

Justin Timberlake, Viacomm, CBS, and MTV are also noted as defendants in the case

This whole situation is completely rediculous and foolish. The superbowl was full of sexual images why are we singling out Janet Jackson? In my opinion advertising alcohol every 5 minutes is much worse than her flashing a boob.

GROW UP.

OMG! I am goint to file suit against BlackJackal for posting that picture here. There could be kids online.

I am offended and deeply troubled.

-----------------------

Seriously though, two things...

Can we now post breasts and such here on ATS? Is this ok to do, but only if we consider it news?

And the story of the costume malfunction is a joke. Why have snaps, a fake red bra sewn in, and wear nipple jewlery if it was a mistake?

Could 2004 be the year the Jackson family hits rock bottom?

LOL! No suit from me BlackJackal.

I think the matter is crazy. While it happened:
Dads = "hell yeah...boobs on tv"
Moms = "that is outrageous"
Grandparents = "is that CBS? oh my goodness"

Kids = downstairs surfing porn on the net.

You get the idea. Yes, she did it...but get over it. Anyone ever watch tv in Canada, UK, France, Italy? Just to name a few....

I didnt see this, but I heard my brother shouting excitedly about it.....am I the only one here who thinks it was wrong?? I bet you guys would be freaking out if Justin Timberlake pulled out his junk at the superbowl half-time show. She should get a fine for exposing herself in public. She cant just pop it out anywhere.

The thing that drives me crazy is there are supposdely heterosexual guys out there getting pissed off about seeing a breast.

There is just something wrong with that.

What is wrong with a heterosexual man who thinks that a woman exposing herself on national television is inappropriate? Obviously most people have seen breasts before. But it's more than just that. It was a self-serving ploy to make more money and give more notoriety on Jackson/Timberlake's part. Most men, including heterosexuals, can see the ploy for what it was. What's wrong with complaining about that?

It was inappropriate for children to see something that looked like a man tearing off a woman's clothes. I don't want my child thinking it's okay for a man to rip off her clothing. And it would be the same if I had a boy.

I know, I know, it was just a stupid little half-time show that's getting too much attention as it is. But the bigger picture is that two celebrities took upon themselves to stage a mock rape in front of millions of children. What message is this sending to men, women, and children.

Why wouldn't an intelligent, heterosexual man complain about this?

Highly inappropriate for tv, but heck If I had known it was coming I would have watched closer.

But MOCK RAPE?????????

what surprises me is that these articles that denounce the act and talk about legal fcc actions are all posting uncensored pics of her boob right next to the article.
isn't that just as indecent?
