Grudge Sparked Teddy Bear Crisis

www.cnn.com

The two sources said Sarah Khawad was fired as the school's secretary in November after an employment spat and threatened to shut down the school.

The sources said Khawad did not appear to have a vendetta against Gibbons, but hoped that by bringing the teddy bear incident to the education minister's attention, he would close down the school for anti-Islamic teachings.

So, it seems that this poor teacher, by allowing her students to name a teddy-bear Mohammed was just being used as a pawn for a secretary, who was fired from the school, to try to get the government to close the school.

To this disgruntled employee, it wasn't a matter of religion, but a vindictive way to get back at the school, it didn't matter who got hurt in the process.

*bump*

This deserves more attention.

Stupid disgruntled employee. She succeeded in doing the exact opposite of what her intentions were -- giving more fodder for the anti-Islam crowd. I hope she has learnt a great deal from this whole affair.

Wow! Butterfly effect or what. This ordinarily "unimportant" person (there are no unimportant persons) set this off? All of it? Think about that for just a second. One-thousand-and-one. Makes a person wonder what could happen if someone "more important" has a bad day what might happen.

A grudge leveraged into this. I wanna scream but it could set off WW-IV by accident.

Well, the seretary got her revenge against the school. The school has been shut down and it is not known if it will re-open or not.

Yeah, okay...

The fact still remains that the outrage came from religious fanatics..
