A strange one this ; the weather in the area was `clear` with no snowfall, rain or fog , the aircraft was in a fit condition to fly and until the crash - the aircrew was in contact with ATC and had requested permission to land , so therefore was very close to the runway.

a sad day and my heart goes out to the relatives.

the investigation will likely reveal a systems failure of some kind, though whats the first thing anyone thinks of when they hear of a jetliner crash?

is that profiling or reputation?
