That's the biggest crock Iv seen this week. Oh no it isn't I saw al gore on CNN yesterday.

No matter how many power plants we shut down or how many trillions of dollars we give, THE ICE IS STILL GOING TO MELT!

Adaption is the way forward.

How did you miss the part about that is what the we are all suggesting?

We need to adapt to the reality that our lifestyle is making our home uninhabitable.

Part of that adaptation is to recognize our role in climate change and to change our behaver accordingly.

Stopping human injection of GHG into the atmosphere overnight is not possible, and even if it were, you are right, the effects of GHG already injected would continue (temperature increase lags behind the GHG increase by several years). And will continue for hundreds of years (CO2 stays in the atmosphere for hundreds of years).

That is no excuse for burying our collective heads in the sand and giving up. We can slow the process by slowing our emission of CO2.

Denial is pessimistic. Action is optimistic.

You've got that backwards - CO2 levels lag temperature rise by several years (approximately 800).

How can people seriously suggest we are causing warming when history shows this stuff is cyclic, and that the world was warmer than now without us doing a thing?

You know we are 50,000 years overdue an ice age?

Something else to note - CO2 risees, then the world plummets into an ice age. Be sure to read the X axis from right to left (past to present).
