Ron Pauls response to the last question asked directly to him was exactly what he should not have committed to.
I have said before that his only possible way to get elected would be for him to switch to be THE 3rd party candidate. It would be fine to get the media exposure during the republican debates, but he would have to run 3rd party to really win.
He just confirmed that he would not do so.

Actually he didn't. He's a smart man, he did exactly what he should of done.
The MSM are trying to make him guarantee that he will not, so that if the time comes, and he does run as an Independent -- then they can give him hell for breaking his "promise". You'll notice he only ever says something a long the lines of "Right now I see no need to consider running as Independent" etc. And it's the truth. At the time, the way things are going -- it's far too early to tell if he will need to run as Independent or not... and as it is, he's going very well -- better than expected.

But once again, he has yet to cancel out the possibility that IF and WHEN the time arises -- he may run as an Independent.

Lets just hope that he won't have to...
