What if the ship were enclosed and pressurized?. The waves traveled on the air inside the ship.

Sound is a wave, gravity is also a wave but what if you are able to flip gravity waves? Instead of waves moving to a center point, why not trap the waves in a sonic field causing the waves to rotate in a infinite circle under the craft. The craft itself will be surfing on gravity waves. Nature does not like force, so the waves will have to follow the contour of the craft like air does a car, once it passes a certain point under the craft, the waves are trapped in a sonic field. Virtually the craft is resting on gravity waves.

Problem in using sound as propulsion for a UFO is once you hit space your going one way without other means to push yourself (Oops I skipped someones post who explained this in a better way)- Edit

And for cars and such.. I'd love to take somethin generating sound on a crowded bridge.. it'd shake like a fun house X3 and going over gravel... Sound displacement wreackage X3
