77 Police Officers Injured in Paris Riots

PARIS, Nov. 27 — Nearly 80 French police officers were injured during clashes with youths in a working- and lower-class suburb north of Paris last night, and six are in a serious condition, police officials said, after some of the youths used hunting shotguns as well as more conventional guns, fire bombs and rocks.

Sounds more like a battle to me, more than just a riot. This was sparked by a accident between a police car and two youths riding on a motorbike, is this a reason to riot?

Is this more Islamic rioting in France?

It seems strange. These were North African immigrant kids that were killed in an accident with the cops, and it started a riot. From my understanding , the last set of riots in France were started because 2 immigrant teens were running from cops and hid in a power junction box or something and electrocuted themselves.

It seems like their local community is just itching to start some riots.
