Brand new holidays vs old time holidays

Holidays were created to commemorate or celebrate some event or honor some person. As we move into the future think there will ever be a brand new holiday to add to the list of holidays? Like what kind of new holiday would be worthy enough that the U.S. pass into law as one? And which holiday(s) of the present should be eliminated? And why?
