something unusual on this video

Hi,

Just been surfing youtube and cam across this video. Nothing unususal to start with but i am wondering what the lunar lander parked on.

I didn't see anything strange at 5:34 (it's hard to see anything clearly on the video), but the next picture at 5:39 was interesting...Is this what you are referring to (this is a different photo showing the same thing):


If so, that is just the contact probe that stuck stright down from the landing pads. These probes told the astronauts and the on-board computers when the LEM contacted the lunar surface. This photo shows the contact probe bent under the pad after landing.

Just checked out some more images and it does look like part of the module. Theres a great picture of it in the famous buzz aldrin helmet reflection picture. Its right in front of him.

By the way, here's a clear shot of the contact probes sticking down from the footpads on the LEM, soon after undocking from the Command Module (this photo is taken by Mike Collins in the Command Module):

I agree with the statement you made about internos being not human. I don't have a chance to beat the speed he has in finding these pics so quick.
