Deadly riots shake Bolivia over pro-Morales constitution

www.usatoday.com

SUCRE, Bolivia (AP) — Riots convulsed Bolivia's colonial capital Sunday after allies of President Evo Morales approved the framework for a new constitution that would permit his indefinite re-election and could radically alter Bolivian politics.

At least two people, including a police officer, were killed.

A full article-by-article version of the constitution, which would establish a multiethnic state with 36 self-governing regions for indigenous groups, has yet to be approved.

The leftist movement seems to be alive and growing south of the border. The president Morales even went as far as saying that the pro capitalist were the ones sparking these riots.

Chavez in Venezuela is behind in polls to change their constitution, I wounder if these riots in Bolivia will effect these poll numbers.

So many riots and protests that are making headlines now. This is the beginning of a revolution that will soon occur. The public is now beginning to realize the scandals and what has really been going on in the govt.... ie the corruption.

sadly, this is the worst way to argue a cause. This only promotes negative publicity, which is what the media is looking for. Hopefully, people will not view them as wrong doers and will try to help
