Well, Simius, my view on this topic is kind of wishy-washy, really. While I think only the ignorant could possibly think that the U.S is innocent, to insinuate that the U.S is "eeevil" or somehow insinuate that we are all that is wrong with this #ed up world is even more ignorant.

For example, there is the video thread about "Who killed" someone, can't even remember the guy's name... Anyway, they tried to pin the creation of Islamic fundamentalism strictly on the shoulders of the U.S in 1976... I found sources that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were all full of #.. Islamic fundamentalism has existed at least for the last 100 years and Nazi Germany even funded it. Guess what, everyone ignored my post and continued to discuss the issue as if their original assumption were true when I had proven it obviously is not.. That to me is when criticism devolves into anti-Americanism.

There is a lot of that here at ATS...If it doesn't fit their "let's blame America" conspiracy theories, they ignore it. Yet, they lambast you when you ignore their comments.

So, I guess on the one hand,Simius, I agree with your thoughts on this, and on the other, I don't...

I think you are referring to the "Who Killed John O' Neil" movie. I'm with you 100% on that one. I honestly can't stand that film and, though it makes SOME good points, I think it's 60% bunk.

I agree that America isn't 100% to blame, in fact, we aren't even 50% to blame. But, I am sick and tired of BS leaders using the U.S. Armed forces as Global Police to line their pockets and provide them with more power.


As always Speaker, I appreciate you listening and think that we may be more in agreement than you believe.

Simius, yeah, that's the name of the movie. It is interesting and there is some truth to some of it. However, when you base a video on a faulty premise, I question the whole thing.

Simius, as you know, I tend to be a bit isolationist politically. I think we should pull all of our troops out of all of these foreign lands and place them on our national borders. Seal it up!! I certainly don't support American interventionism at all... I think we should take care of ourselves and let the rest of the world go the way it deems necesary.

Will it happen? Well, it all depends. The isolationist mentality is growing in the mind of the general populace, but until it filters into our politician's ideologies, it won't happen.

First,

go to the podcasting for dummies thread to learn how to post your podcast.


then, go to the member podcasts forum and read the thread about "Tools for podcasters"


Download Audacity and the "plugin" that you need for it to export mp3's.


Then, record.



To use the headphones, plug them into your microphone port on your CPU. Speak up and directly in to them. You may have to use audacity to amplify your voice and to clean up noise
