There you go! For all the doomy and gloomy crowd, face to face talks with documents in writing assuring Russia of our intentions and making an offer for cooperation.

Can this administration or be trusted though? Thats another question.

For those that dont want to read the article this is what the U.S. is offering to Russia:

The offers include:
-Integrating U.S., Russian and NATO missile defense systems to expand protection of both Russia and the West.

-Allowing Russian experts to make regular inspections of the U.S. site in Poland. U.S. officials have emphasized that the offer is contingent on approval from Poland.

-Delaying the activation of the U.S. missile interceptors until it is clear that Iran can reach Europe with ballistic missiles.

Now does that means that we are really going to war to Iran?

I agree completly with your statement. Now their is going to be people that would want to spin this a hundred ways but the facts are the facts.

Russia is considering the offer now and they probably would want some more form of security, but at least is a good step.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT RUSSIAN SECURITY! IT'S ABOUT THREATENING THE UKRAINE TO KEEP THEM FROM JOINING NATO! THEY HAVE TRYED TO FREEZE THEM TO DEATH IN WINTER BECAUSE OF THE ELECTIONS A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. THAT DIDN'T WORK, THEY JUST TURNED THE GAS BACK ON! THEY ENTERFERED BIGTIME (PUTIN) IN THE UKRAINIAN ELECTIONS, THAT DIDN'T WORK! PUTIN TRYED TO ASSASSINATE THEIR NEW PRIME MINISTER BUT, FAILED! THE UKRAINE HAS HAS A BUNCH MAYBE AS MANY AS 20% OF THE OLD SOVIETS NUKES! AFTER ALL THE # THEY HAVE PULLED AND THE # THAT THEY WANT TO PULL A DEFENSIVE SHIELD WORRIES THEM

I don't think is as simple as you trying to make it look though, it never is, Russia holds much influence and that is a way to show them who has the bigger cajunas in the region.

A nice way to show someone or remind them of what can happens if they go against your policies is to cut their heat or electricity, or just try to kill their PM, that would get someone attention

Ukraine was not, and is not going to join NATO. All the talk was unrealistic, and certain powerful figures in the country will prevent it from happening in the near future.

Yeah Russia cast the freeze death ray on Ukraine. It is called Political Capitalism, get used to it.

Yeah as soon as Ukraine started paying for the gas they turned it on. Why didn't NATO bestow gas upon Ukraine? Where is the generosity?

Or maybe you are wrong. Ukraine does not have nuclear weapons since the late 90's.

I just wonder how the Ukraine angle mix in with the U.S., Russia and the MDS issue, IMO all we have here is some good steps taken in the right direction and hopefully the matter will be resolve soon.
