I noticed that you missed my post 4thDR.

Not surprised.

Umm...I did not miss it but nothing you said required a response.

Thanks man, I usually have to work at debunking junk. You did it for me.

Expect a Christmas card.

Can you link for us this particular article or video in which the aforementioned statements can be found? I am most curious to hear this story…

Go to YouTube, search for Steven Greer UFO press conference, and watch it. It's 2 hours.

I imagine there were quite a few headlines in the 30's that, at the time, seemed like small potatoes, but historians now realize turned out to be WWII knocking on the door. This may be nothing, but this may also be the piece that makes or breaks a world's potential future.

How do you think WWII would have played out if every American was told daily what was going on?

What on Earth are you talking about?
Since you did not say in your last post, I guess I'll infer again.
What exactly did you debunk? Because apparently you 'think' you did something witty however I cannot find it.

England, Israel and France. India is our friend ( I talk to them all the time when they are trying to sell me something on the phone lol) and we babysit Pakistan so I think we are better off than you think. The first three would and will back the U.S. when the poo hits the fan. The French military and intelligence services have always been very strong allies. Chirac was a borderline commie and thats why our relations did not do so well when he was in power.

I find it amusing how some people here jump on every little tibit of news (regardless of the source) and start predicting something 'big' is imminent. A little quick on the trigger, I'd say.

I'm guessing these guys are also premature ejaculators.

I find it amusing that people find it amusing that people on ATS find eschatological threads amusing. Was that confusing?

Well this thread is running out of steam already, but in case anyone is interested here is some interesting info.

During the cold war, Soviet aircraft frequently probed UK airspace to test the local defenses and were invariably intercepted and escorted away by RAF aircraft. This was a kind of game played by the Soviets with NATO defenses and was more or less 'business as usual'.

In about 1991, this practice stopped. There have been no incursions of this type in 15 years.

During a visit to CAOC 9 at High Wycombe yesterday, I learned that in 2007 these incursions have resumed with a vengeance. Here's one recent example reported in the press:

www.dailymail.co.uk...

but most have not been reported. There have been 38 (thirty-eight) incursions this year. So none for 15 years, then 38 in 2007.

The feeling is that they are definitely up to something. Maybe just posturing. Maybe not.

The USSR saw it as Sabre rattling and Reagan was not Jesus. Iran-Contra among other things was definitely not knowing what is the right thing to do. Invading the British Commonwealth was one of the stupidest things he ever did. Thatcher gave him quite a scolding over Grenada.

Every country on every side is going to have it's own personal view of the same incident, and they will often differ from each other. The fact that the USSR may have viewed it as "sabre rattling" doesn't necessarily make it so. That's just their viewpoint.

And no one here is equating Reagan to Jesus, or alleging that he was the perfect president. If you dig deep enough you will find scandals in the administration of virtually every single president in US history. The Iran-Contra scandal doesn't come close to outweighing the positive results of Reagan's presidency. It was his willingness to stand up to and confront the evils of communism, as well as his refusal to follow the status quo advice of his Washington advisors, that ultimately led to the downfall and defeat of the Soviet Union. Granted, he was not soley responsible for the fall of the USSR. But he had more to do with it than any other president before him and ultimately deserves the most credit.

The fact that the Cuban Missile Crisis brought us to the brink of nuclear war does not underscore the end result and the decision-making of President Kennedy, does it?

As for the main topic at hand... I'm sick of people blaming the US for the muscle-flexing and the undiplomatic moves and statements made by world leaders and terrorists alike. Believe it or not, we are not entirely responsible for the anti-American sentiment and the provocative actions of leaders like Putin. Or do you think we should give up the potential advantages of a purely defensive missile system just because Putin is afraid it will nullify his ability to nuke us and our allies with ICBM's? I mean, do you honestly realize how absurd that is? And let me state for the record that I am not saying this is your personal opinion, because I really don't know what your thoughts are on the ABM Treaty or the missile shield are. But I do know that a good number of ATS members think that we should give in to Putin's demands and abandon the missile defense program, or at the very least relocate it to appease him. Obviously, I disagree with such policies of appeasement. They will only enbolden countries like China, Iran, North Korea and others. We have enough of a problem with regimes flaunting the will of the our government and the governments of the free world.

The ruskies are suffering from an inferiority complex. they should, socialism is inferior in every way! They want to be relivent again, so they are making noise. Trouble is they DON'T HAVE THE WALK TO BACK THE TALK. We should let them know in no uncertain terms they shouldn't even be in the G8. Mexico has a larger economy than they do. They are small potatoes with nukes!

Threat of communist dictators AGAIN? I wasn't aware that there are any communist dictators, or for that matter any communists threatening Europe right now. This might be news to you, but USSR fell apart, and communism fell with it.

AND I DID LIVE UNDER COMMUNISM THANK YOU VERY MUCH. It is not my wish to live under communism, nor do I have any obsesion with communism LIKE YOU SEEM TO HAVE.

And what does communism even have to do with this topic, my posts, or any relevant issue with Russia today? You seem to make a connection that is at best ambiguously obsurd and irrelevant.

Neither had I, pavil. But I still don't think it matches how close to the brink we came in the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. There was one point during the crisis when the only thing that stopped a Russian submarine launching a nuclear-tipped torpedo at a fleet of American destroyers was the courage of one man standing up to his captain.

You hvae a link to this supposed incident ?

It also happened twice that NORAD thought a nuclear attack had been launched on the United States - with computer screens tracking missiles and all - because of false reports from its tracking stations. The only thing that save this planet was hesitation and quick communications.

No what happened was thr safeguards in the system worked. The DSP satellites and radar stations didn't show any inbound missiles therfore they knew it was false.

What does Russia today have in common with socialism, and why would there be any inferiority complex concerning the issue? Is it Russians living in the past, or just you?

And to what is socialism inferior to? Military industrial complex? Dictatorship? Anarchy? Monarchy? Marxism? Leninism?

Or maybe the talk is meant to be just talk, and the walk is what gets you in trouble. US walked the walk with the War On Terror. Now its knee deep in **** in Iraq, and I bet it wished it stuck with just talking instead of walking.

And where do you want Russia to walk? To lend a helping hand to Iran? Or to back Iraqi insurgents? Because it can.

Small potatoes who happen to have vast resources of oil, gas, and precious metals can turn into very big potatoes.

OH OH OH - the same Ukraine that happens to be facing mass protests in Kiev every month, calling for the ousting the pro-Wester clown? The very same Ukraine where 3/4 of the population are opposed to joining NATO? Or the Ukraine that has no nuclear weapons, because it turned all of them back over to Russia a decade ago? NO NO NO - IT CAN'T BE THIS UKRAINE. You must be talking about some other Ukraine.

Yes - you got Putin and Russia, and in fact the entire world all figured out. In fact you quote clearly sums up all these arguements about Russia in a brilliant and yet somewhat incongruous and fatuous way.

So Putin is a "dumb ****". Compared to whom? George Bush? You? How exactly do you give him such nether rank in the scope of political astuteness? Please tell me, so I can understand where Bush, and other politicians would rank.

And was he trying to assassinate their PM or President? Or both maybe? Maybe he just didn't make up his mind?

Actually Putin (I call him putana in italian which means whore
) is not at all a dumb ****. All the way around, he is pretty smart and intelligent but is such an @ss. Obviously is the guy who got back Russia's pride. (Not like that puppet of Jelcin) But he is aggressive and war monger. When are we gonna see a leader smart enough to lead his country toward prosperity and at the same time with the good sense and peace loving? I guess never
