'Safe' uranium that left a town contaminated

This is terrible.

The article tells of the longterm effects of Depleted Uranium. However, the long term effects aren't the ONLY effects.

I'm sure some of you have seen the pictures from over in Iraq of children and parents exposed to DU. It's awful what that mess does to them.

Stories like the one in the article remind me so much of things like Agent Orange and of just how little the government REALLY cares about the people.

With a caring government and industrial complex like this, who needs terrorism?

If DU is so safe, I want to see every chairman of the major arms manufacturers wearing a lump of the stuff around their necks.

A lump of DU hanging round the necks of the buggers might not do too much. Getting them to breath in / ingest some DU dust might do the trick though.
