Contacting moderators

Topic started on 16-11-2007 @ 10:52 AM by Boone 870

Have do I contact a moderator when there is a technical problem with a thread? Do I use the alert button?

I can't find the list of moderators on the thread or in the conspiracy sub forum, anywhere. Please help.

List of mods at bottom of page!

Send them a u2u --- go to memebers centre at top of page.

Pray - works for some!!

You can press the alert button, or you can go to the MemCenter and submit a complaint/suggestion. Both are seen by all the staff.

You can also contact a moderator directly through U2U if you would prefer, though that can take longer to get a response since it's contingent on that individual moderator's schedule.

Rules for contacting moderators:

This is done by standing in a bathroom, with one candle lit and calling the name "Bloody Moderator" into the mirror three times in a row.
It is only the bravest of members who would attempt to participate in this contact.

It is believed that by taking part in this attempted contact, and summoning the Moderator, it would have one of the following terrible consequences:

eyes being ripped out by the Moderator.

found with claw marks all over body.

disappear mysteriously from the bathroom and end up in the mirror with the Moderator for eternity.

view the horrifying image of the Moderator appear in the mirror.

driven insane or dropping dead on the spot at the appearance of the Moderator in the mirror.

suffer terrible claw marks all over face.

Attempt contact at your own risk!

Peace

Bubble bubble toil and trouble
how does your posting go,
amid smiley faces and eerie whistles
sharp T&C thorns and 1-line thistles
and those terrible mods all in a row?

You had best order a double
before attempting that rite
in the bathroom so dark and drear
thereby putting at risk all that's dear
and invoking capering demons on-site.

RAAAWR!!!

Nice one, Doktor Love

Using the alert button is definitely the fastest way.

Sending a u2u to a specific mod is only recommended if the issue is relating to that particular staff member. The reason I say this is because we're in all different time zones etc so it might end up taking longer than you hoped for. If you use the alert button your message will be delivered to the staff forum and whoever is online at the time will be able to see it and respond far quicker.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the links.

After I hit the alert button at the bottom of the post, do I just wait for a moderator to U2U me?

I find that if I ritually sacrifice a few cold beers while typing the mods name and deleting it over and over, they appear on my screen.

It's a well known fact that they can't resist a good import.

If you are forced by circumstances beyond your control to use a domestic beer, the best you can hope to summon is an FSME.
