RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - President Gen. Pervez Musharraf said Wednesday he expects to step down as army chief by the end of November and begin a new presidential term as a civilian, warning that Pakistan risked chaos if he gave into opposition demands to resign.

This is good news I think. However it is also possible that the damage has already been done and it is just a matter of time before he falls. We can only hope that if he does fall that someone like Bhutto takes his place instead of a general sympathetic to the Taliban and Al Qeada.

Pakistan is the danger, not Iran. remember that.

Why is it that I don't believe him? Oh yeah I remember, he said he would resign as army chief not too long ago.

We'll see if he really means it as time goes by.

Yeah he has hasn't he.

Musharraf is a dead man walking, its just a matter of time.
