I just went downstairs and the whole front of my building is being filmed for some kind of shoot. I walk outside and there's a sign that says they are filming and by walking thru the area you agree to allow your image to be used on film. Then I see the man who's starring in the production.

Dave Gahan!

I was a huge Depeche Mode fan when I was a kid. I wanted to say something but I didn't want to disturb the shoot.

Cool sighting for me, thought I'd share.

I've seen them too many times to count. he seems to be a bit of a moron tho. He's standing in front of my building's handicap entrance and he keeps leaning on the door open button and getting slammed in the back by the door.

I couldn't resist. I went back down to go to the bank and stopped and said hello. I told him I was a huge fan, saw Depeche Mode every time they came to town when I was younger. He seemed thrilled to be recognized by an adult. On my way back to the building he stopped me and thanked me for making the dreary shoot better with a little ego boost.

can't really pass these things up when the opportunity exists. I'm working a friend of mine for tickets to Duran Duran when they come to town. He shot Yasmin Le Bon a few months back (photog not hitman) and she said she'd get him in to see the show when they came to town.

I don't care much about their music anymore but what a time trip it would be to see them again.
