Jacqui Smith has defended a decision not to publicise the fact that 5,000 illegal immigrants were cleared to work in security, amid claims of a cover-up.

It is terrifying that people are allowed to work as security in airports and the likes, with no real background checks being carried out.

In no way am I ranting here that they shouldn''t be working because they are illegal immigrants, it's just making me think about how easy it could be for terrorists to gain access to restricted areas and other such situations where they could potentially cause massive destruction...

Just think - multiple suicide bombers masquerading as security in various parts of an international airport.

Terrrifying.

Blunder - I think so, dear.
