dont know how this works out and if the dog even agreed
what this world is coming to

news.bbc.co.uk...

An Indian man has married a female dog, believing the union will help him atone for stoning two other dogs to death.
P Selvakumar, 33, said he had been cursed since the killings, suffering paralysis and a loss of hearing.

The wedding took place at a Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu state. The "bride" wore an orange sari with a flower garland and was fed a bun to celebrate.

Superstitious people in rural India sometimes organise weddings to animals in the hope of warding off curses.

Let's hope the man and his 'wife' don't visit China. Can you imagine what would happen if they went for dinner at a restaurant there?

Dog marriages in India are quite common and done to avert bad luck or repay bad karma (as in this case.) Sometimes they may be mandated by the community.

Sex is not involved. The animal is simply given a different social status and treated much better than these animals usually are.

Other types of marriages... if a village needs a prostitute then the girl will be married to a tree (yes, really.) By their legal/moral/religious rules, no woman can be unmarried (which is why there's a dowry system that ensures all women are married) and by marrying her to a tree, it's okay to cuckhold her 'husband'.

Our customs look equally weird to them.

Married to a tree? That brings a whole new definition to the meaning of 'tree-hugger'

Depending on what level of paralysis this guy has, we may not have to worry about offspring. But if they do succeed I guess it won't matter if there's no other man-dogs around for the kid to play with. He'll be his own best friend.

I really don't see a problem with pet marriage as long as the animal isn't being forced or abused in anyway. I've been happily married to my iguana for about a year now.
