I think that personality plays an integral part in any "Infiltration" assumption...

Just look here..

The account looks perfectly intact. So one can assume it is a password problem or some log in issue that has happened with dozens of members and will always happen on any imperfect system. As there are no perfect systems, we muddle through... I believe that ATS does a fine job of fixing problems being as there are thousands of members and over a million or so hits a day. Thereby assuring us on a continuing basis of their neutrality and lack of infiltration...

If you look for one long enough, you will always find a Boogyman....Especially if you are convinced there is one..

Just my observations would suggest that if there are infiltrators, they don't last long.

I am in the business of "Truth Detecting" and by all accounts, I am considered fairly successful....
I can honestly say that I believe the sincerity of MOST of the members that post on here on a regular basis. Do I believe what they post? OH GOSH NO, at least some of the time; but what I do believe is that THEY believe what they are posting...

An Infiltrator would by his very definition, have to post that which he knows is false. And to be effective he must post a HUGE amount on a site as large as this. I would know if I ran across this; that's what I do, detect the truth.

I'm not saying I am perfect and can not be fooled, far from it. But then neither is ATS, they just have a lot more than one person looking at the posts and watching for such "Infiltrators" and it is their volunteered position to watch for such.

As for the Benefit of the Doubt, have you tried giving ATS that? Or the Moderators? Or the Admin?

Perhaps, just perhaps, they deserve it too..

You face an international network of contract disinformation experts, organized and led by a Knighted hero of the Kingdom and an internationally acclaimed behavioural dynamics expert.

And sometimes it's just some very smart kid who wants to model himself after Emperor Palpatine
www.starwars.com... and try his hand at manipulation of public opinion.

I also think some supposed "disinfo agents" are not deliberate disinfo agents. They truly believe what they claim. Then there are some supposed disinfo agents, who, despite being shown repeatedly where they are wrong, don't subscribe to the same set of "facts" as their debunkers, and automatically sort said debunking in the circular file. Then there are the free thinkers, who regardless of the glaring holes in their info, will continue to maintain their position because to them, their theory has less holes than the official one or they have enough insider information, to nullify (in their minds) the official position. Then there are those who maintain the official position, regardless of anything else.

And of course, there are those who just love to argue (even if they don't believe the position they are arguing for, they will just argue to argue. something to do, i guess.)

Based on these situations, everyone is a skeptic-believer-debunker-disinfo agent.
