Ok, I know the pompous remarks of the Hills best are not overly welcome.
It would seem to me though this morning the group as a whole sighting newly released data gelled to acknowledge the Iraq war was initiated and continues due to the oil reserves that exceed even Saudi Arabia's. I was unnerved listening to some members justifying these actions. The overall consensus was we MUST wean ourselves off oil.

Well although some could argue it is needed. Chances are it is not (at least in Britain and America). Public transport if it was much improved and the fat and lazy changing thier ways (sorry I'm not a motorist) could solve the problem but of course... it's not so much the issue at hand. It's more conquest and convenience based.

Oil is used in a lot more than the automotive industry. Simply changing to mass transit or improving the MPG in our cars in a few countries will not solve the problem.
