Israel is the recipient of American dollars. Are they a people incapable of governing themselves?

As far as paying for people incapable of governing themselves, Bushes Multi Trillion Dollar deficit puts a yes in that category. Sad thing is, its America.

I must apologise to Highfiguy for implying it was his quote when it was really JohnMike's.
Hope I didn't cause you too much trouble.

Drawing further on your ignorance of economics, you should know that a deficit itself doesn't really harm the economy. But the taxes you need to make up for it do.
Additionally, Bush does not start revenue bills. They all must, Constitutionally, begin in the House of Representatives.
And you mean "Bush's." Not Bushes.

Maybe if the US government stopped spending trillions of dollars on needless wars and killing innocent people in countries in this false war of terror, spending money on educating farmers and agriculturalists in 3rd world countries, then there may be no need for websites raising money for rice.....just a thought.

Sort of. It was alright, then all the socialist crap mucked it up. Now we subsidize everything.

Israels 90 Billion in Aid alone buys about 180 Billion Pounds in Rice.

Now Im not a rocket scientist, but Im going to guess that would probably buy more then one days worth of rice.

The World spends 1.25 Trillion dollars in Weapons every year.
Half of the spending is US. near 700 Billion.

US Spending on weapons and military? = about 1.4 Trillion Pounds of Rice
Thats in a year, by the way.

"America, America, God sheds his grace on thee" right?

When your cup runneth over, be sympathetic and compassoinate to those with less for your economies are based on the abundance on that which was freely given to you in the first place.

Every nation experiences need at one time or another.

Chavez, the leader of a third world country, sends heating oil to the poor in America. Oh the economic Irony...Heres a link.

One, Chavez is not someone to look to for a good leader.

Two, he's sending the United States oil while his country is in such bad shape? I thought Venezuela elected him to represent them, not the U.S.

My point is this.

Americans can freeze to death in their homes before the corportations let lose of their purse straps.

And that my friend, is the economics of greed, not good.

I like the concept here. We know the ongoing problem with food shortages and starvation in many countries. Most people are reluctant to give but I think this provides a good alternative.

Great idea. I racked up about 600 grains before I sat down to my own meal tonight. While I was eating it, I wished that more websites like this were out there, so that many more people such as those escaping the war in Darfur and living in dire circumstance can be helped.

I'm passing that link around, brill. Thanks for posting this.

Instead of inflating your ego by picking holes in my method (I am not technically astute when it comes to computers, and I have read the guidelines, but that doesn't make my posts any less valid), you might like to address the content itself. It's easy to poke holes in technical misfortunes, but that does no good.

It's a shame that we have programmes like this click for rice one. Really, the problem is access to resources and the replacement of traditional farming techniques with high-tech chemical-based and f1 hybridisation.
The obesity epidemic is one of the most glaring examples of excess and inhumanity. Fat from greed and excess foods, people just don't seem to care about 'others' anymore.
Sort of sounds selfish to me.

No, I mean, this forum has a preview post function. You can look at how it's going to end up before it posts, so I can actually read them without having to decipher. Your technical ability has little to do with your ability to debate, I'm just asking you to fix the way you're quoting things.

uhrm... sorry to burst all your bubbles, but programmes like this barely keep people alive. granted the starving people are being kept alive, but they're not being well fed. the biggest thing you can do to contribute to the ending of world hunger is stop eating so much.

america is the #1 gluttonous country in the world.
if all of america fasted for one day, it could feed all of africa for a week.

I tried that and got up to 500 before I decided to post. It said I had a level of 41 out of 43, which I guess is because I got 2 wrong. I noticed even in that time that I had several repeat words, so I'm betting that there aren't actually too many to go through.

So I'm thinking that someone should write a _javascript or something to automatically answer these questions correctly, and then get as many people to use it as possible. If it's actually real that they will donate rice, then they'd have to donate a LOT of rice!

I'm not so sure it would work out that way. If all America fasted for a day, then the corporate holders of that food would either save the stock for when America does start eating again or throw it away. It costs money to ship food overseas...

As well, there needs to be a corporate interest in industrializing the thrid world nations. Would take alot of money, but in my opinion, well worth it if a corporation(s) did so with the intent to create their own market...

haha, i wasn't suggesting that america stop eating for a day and then ship that food over, i'm just pointing out that having a webgame for rice is not the best way for america to feed poor people. it's actually rather f'ed up, they get tons of hits, tons of money from advertisements, and end up shipping alot of really cheap foods or rather just buying lots of that cheap food from third world countries that make that food. it's a complete scam.
