Strange Dream Maybe

Im wondering what people make of this.

I had an experience about 10 years ago in bed with my girlfriend watching television.

Having spent an hour sat up in bed watching television I turned on to my front to stretch out my back as I did I noticed my bedside lamp on the floor. As I turned back round and sat up I was in a dark open space which I can not really describe in the distance In front of me some 20-30 meters I can see some moving living things which were white in colour but looked disfigured.

Frightened I ended up turning round and sitting up again which was quite odd as I believed I was already partially sat up.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Does anyone have any views on this?

Sounds like a waking dream. In a nuteshell you dream that you wake up. Though I don't know if thats the right terminology.
Probly fell asleep.
Dreamt that you woke up to strangeness.
Then actually woke up.

Were you watching X-Files at that time? That is the only show that has caused me to have strange experiences.

There could be dozens of reasons for what happened. My guess would be just as good as yours.
