Spawn of the Jersey Devil found in Mullica Twp. attic?

Spawn of Jersey Devil? common.....

Story Snippet:

The unholy demon creature was pulled out of the Crowleytown Schoolhouse in Mullica Township by Doug Laubert, who hasn't the slightest idea of what it is.

Please Read the article: www.pressofatlanticcity.com...

How this resembles the Jersey Devil is beyond my comprehension.

Yeah, I'd like to see another picture of that. It looks like some sort of deformed rat or rodent to me. Maybe a squirrel or chipmunk??

I agree with you though, I'm not sure how they got Jersey Devil out of that.

no one thinks to send a tissue sample off for dna analysis? the first thing they do is drop it in a jar of formaldehyde? thats it?

I hate retarded article writers :/

"Spawn of The Jersey Devil" is a NAME the family that found it thought up (also, "Herman The Vermin", lol).

It has nothing to do with the Jersey Devil.

hey i did some research on google and the best thing i found was that it looked almost identical to a spiny-tailed lizard. i saw the tail which looks "spiny"
and it immdeitly came to my mind heres a few pics of the spiny-tailed lizard

picture 1

in the second picture you can see that if a spiny-tailed lizard lays the correct way its back legs are almost not visible at all

picture 2

the missing back legs are what threw me off maybe they were cut off or grabbed by a predator and came off which usaully happens with lizard's tails but anything could happen

the second explaination of the missing back legs is if the guy is holding them under the body so people wont just see four legs and say lizard, it did mention that he was running for an elected position and maybe he wanted attention

well if that helps
great find and thanks for sharing it

Hmm...I don't think it's a lizard. o~o It kind of looks like it has a bird's head IMO.

Picture I editted

It doesn't really look like its back is facing us, like it's a lizard with it's legs hidden. I think that's the belly I see there. The legs look "pointed up".

Bah. It'd be nice if there were more pictures.

Edit: Editing so my post makes a little more sense. Bah. Tired.

I'll throw out an idea. How about a deformed bat?

It could easily be just a dried-up deformed.... something....
