He's a good guy, one of the only "trustworthy" newscasters there are. He really has it out for the things that are wrong for America, and all the terrible journalism that's being thrown around these days, which I think comes from a respect of not only his country, but his profession.

Yes, Keith is a bright light, in the generally dark mainstream media landscape. Thank the Gods for the internet, though.

It's strange that the network that canned Donahue (which was the highest rated program at the time), has Olbermann as one of their most recognizable hosts. I just heard a report today that Rosie O'Donnell might be getting a program at 9pm (eastern) on MSNBC.

Yeah I couldn't believe the power in his segment. I have never once seen a newscaster to go the extent he did to point out obvious flaws in our gov't. I give him a lot of credit for having the stuff it takes to do so. Hopefully this opens up the eyes of some people and spark some special interest and questions.

As much as Olbermann helps, he hurts, because he keeps us divided. He keeps us on one side or the other. He is of absolutely no consequence to the power structure, you just think he is.

BTW, I'm an Olbermann fan from way back in the day. I wish he'd of stayed at ESPN.

WOW!..... Olbermen told the man, the nation, the world how it is. All the more why Ron Paul now needs to be the man in the white house.

its ludicrous that people call him a newscaster, when what he is, is nothing more than a opinion giver.

On this we agree. Mark me down as one who never called him a newscaster.

Everyone complains about Bill O'rielly being slanted right, but this guy is far worse than Bill O'Rielly.

If by worse you mean he is further to the left than O'Reilly is to the right, you may have a case; but Olbermann is just one program, Fox News is a whole channel masquerading as news dedicated to conservative opinion.

O'Rielly never claims to be a news broadcaster or a journalist. He is what he is and he is proud of it. I am no way an O'rielly fan. Personally, I hate anyone that sits on TV and gives his opinion, then shouts over someone trying to give theirs.

Actually I think this criticism only applies to O'Reilly, Olbermann doesn't really have conservatives on his program, and he doesn't shout whatsoever, let alone over anyone.

Pontificating to the masses. Thats what these 2 people do. I say put them both on some OPINION channel. Better yet, lets do an Olberman/O'Rielly hour. it worked wonders for Hannity and Combs, although Combs does come off rather wishy washy at best.

Ha, ha I'd love it, Olbermann and O'Reilly (if they had a tv/radio show that is)... But I digress, IMO O'Reilly is already on an opinion channel.

I say shut Olberman up.....shut O'Rielly up. We are all adults and can make up our own damn minds.

I say opinion or objective news are both fine, if the right or left controls the vast majority of any media, though, I'd like to see some balance. IMO, the right has a near monopoly on Cable News, and talk radio.

The difference between O'Reilly and this guy is that the former works to protect the Bush administration, the latter to bring it down.

And since the Bush administration is corrupt and full of criminals, Im routing for Olbermann.

The entire Fox News channel is the government cheerleader.

Hey let's be fair people. Olbermann is calling out the (Democratic) Congress as well. This isn't a one-sided bashing. And what about the content? How can you argue that?

1. Bush says we don't torture.
2. We use water boarding
3. Asst. U.S. Attorney determines waterboarding is torture (like just about everyone else in the world)
4. Asst. U.S. Atty is canned in favor of (yet another) administration patsy that goes along with the 'comapny line'.

And yes, there are tomes written about the fact that extreme 'inteligence gathering techniques' produce testimony of highly dubious accuracy. Hell, if they'd waterboarded anyone on this thread we'd all admit to being behind 9/11.

Personally, I think Bush & Co. should be tried for treason based upon their Constitutional violations alone. But we learned pretty quickly after the mid-term elections that no one in Washington has the stones for doing anything important. Let's debate the 1915 Armenian genocide. WTF?

Ah, thats what you meant... I see.

I agree it should be us against the evildoers, but there is no agreement on who the evildoers is yet. Until that happens, you will still have two sides, no?

And yes, the left/right stuff doesnt concern me. I have my opinions, and they are not based on any of that stuff. Im not even a US citizen and I dont vote in your system. What matters is Right and Wrong, but people will still have different opinions about which is which based on their view of the world.

Things like this are never going to happen. It's like being a celebirty. "wow i drove 80 on a 20 zone, i hope i dont go to jail" and celebirties usually do not stay in jail for long. Bush has all the power, we know he should go to jail but it's just not going to happen. Hillary should be the one to go to jail after all those videos of private donations.

If Bush somehow goes to jail i'll:
smudge butter over my face.

run throughout the streets of new york and yell eureka.
