Announcement at 1:00 on Fox-NASA

I didn't catch everything but on Fox News they just said that at 1:00 there is going to be announced that Astronomers found a new Planetary System just like our own.

not finding anything on fox news that hints towards any kind of special anouncement maybe won't put on website till after they air.

It may be a "fake", or at least an exaggeration. Drudge and the Florida news agency that broke the story seem to have pulled the story.

A “huge” NASA announcement today?

I don't know what is going on.

I haven't heard anything since this morning about this.

I guess we will see what happens at one this afternoon.

However when I spoke with Eric Hupp a few minutes later she did say that there would be a "large announcement" (as opposed to "huge" I suppose) from the Cassini Team - and that press releases will be issued by NASA and a number of universities today at 2:00 PM EST.

Misunderstanding occured

But you know what they say, where there's water...it has HUGE implications for our universe..
I expect it'll be a day of sorrow for the skeptics another nail in their collective coffins.

this is correct.

finding large water reserves emanating from a rupture of crust of a small moon ,would imply water is abundant SUB SURFACE throughout the universe.

its just another atomic element,no reason for its frequncy to be localised in our solar system

the bad astronomy article is from2006.

I am a member here and I do not create hoaxes. I am insulted by some of your remarks and I am considering reportng your ignorgance, this I will think about.

What I wrote here is exactly what I heard on Fox news this morning at approximately 9:20 a.m. EST

I have not heard anything since that report but I will watch all afternoon to see if anything happens. If I do not hear anything I will write to Fox and ask for an explaination.

If this does come on TV at anytime this afternoon I expect an apology, I think you (and you know who you are) have nerve to suggest I be banned and you should be held accountable for it.

Did anyone notice that the original poster did not post the links to the old articles? I've been searching all morning myself looking for info and haven't found anything about this. Doesn't mean it's fake.
