House Passes Bill on "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism"
In news from Capitol Hill, The House of Representatives has passed the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act by a 404 to six vote. The bill creates a National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Ideologically Based Violence. Some critics have criticized the broad language used in the bill to describe homegrown terrorism.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson...

So if you quote him in front of a crowd, you could be arrested by some nazi cop... like a lot of New York cops.

The government is covering their butts for further police state bills... if you try to change the government mind by using ``violence`` or threatenning to do so because let's say in 5 years they are 50X worse than now... or there's a economic collapse and we know it's the government fault, you'll be a terrorist.

They will not be happy till they hear only voices that agree with there messages. It's only a matter of time till sites like this will be either greatly restricted or gone altogether.

Many believe Ron Paul is our only hope, but I feel just one man and his possible sacrifice will not be enough.

Almost time to head for the hills

ATS should change the headline of this one -- "thought crime" bill passed.

Representatives are probably all Mk Ultra brainwashed victims. They don't give a hoot about the constitution, "we the people" -- doesn't seem to mean anything to the MILLIONS turning on primetime tv everynight.

surely the wording of the bill would classify the military as terrorist?
"The bill creates a National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Ideologically Based Violence"

the SPREAD OF DEMOCRACY VIA MILITARY INTERVENTION,is the stated aim of americas current foreign policy.

looks like theyve just got an even larger monopoly on violence now

homegrown
terrorism, and ideologically based violence and homegrown terrorism in
the
United States should not violate the constitutional rights, civil
rights, or
civil liberties of United States citizens or lawful permanent

Uh oh, somebody here forgot to exclude this out. Somebody in the govt. forgot to prevent people from using this.

"Under the bill any person that uses or plans to use force to advance political or social objectives would be considered a terrorist."

Heres something to think about,
Before late 1980's, people said you are communist if you liked Russia.
Now people say you are a terrorist if you like Iran.
(No offense to Russians and Iranians)

Anyone getting what saying?
We used to pass laws by saying you "you are communist if"
Now we pass laws by saying "you are a terrorist if"

Has nothing to do with liking Iran or Russia that makes you an enemy. Lets highlight the words you posted.

You can protest all you want, just try not to kill anyone to express your grievances.

You misunderstanding, I not bashing the Russians and Iranians or saying you an you an enemy if liked them. I was using sterotypeing thinking...

I trying to say that we are using the words "terrorist" and "9/11" to pass crapy laws. If "terrorist" wasn't used in the bill, instead "traitor. The bill more likely wont pass. When the words "terrorist" and "9/11" are said in a bill, we become stupid and afraid and pass it no matter if it violate our rights.

The point is, we used the word "terrorist" to pass bills and make laws.

Well we could always include KKK or the Black Panthers, but its too specific and would have to make more bills and laws for each group.

Always wanted KKK wiped out.
