Flame me all you want but please don't post on another thread if it's going to look like your posts here. Denying ignorance does not mean posting wild claims with no proof. If the mods were half-consistent they would've already shut down this thread, but sadly, they are not. Furthermore, I totally expect to be warned or banned for this comment.

Hard proof, but why must you have it? Ask yourself if you have a soul? And if you believe that you do, then ask yourself for the hard proof. Will believing that you have a soul be enough proof for you?

To me this is a thread about spirituality, positive thinking. What's wrong with believing in something that makes us feel good, or might give a little hope to someone who goes out everyday and faces a world that seems hopeless. It's a good story whether it's real or not...no point in trying to discredit it imo.

Au contraire, there is a very good point in discrediting it. You see, what we do here on ATS matters. Our mission to deny ignorance would be greatly jeopardized if we just started taking any comers with a story, but no hard evidence.

Furthermore, I do believe that humans are beings with souls because of what I've read about near-death experiences and our total inability to explain the mystery of consciousness. That is hard evidence, something that the OP has not provided us with.

I don't believe this, nor do I disbelieve. Just interesting read. But...

Didn't the majority in this thread say "This resonates with me" or something along those lines? And didn't he also say that the proof lies within?

Just because you can't seem to read and believe doesn't mean you should come in this thread and become a nuisance.

If you want to make a thread, go make one FFS. If there are people that feel a gut instinct to believe or continue to explore your thread, then there is no problem with that. Guess what, there are people here that feel a gut instinct, so that is reason enough.

Just stop being a nuisance and browse through a different thread if this is stupid to you. Its simple logic. I don't like something, I don't associate myself with it.

But when you say hard evidence, what exactly do you mean? Isn't hard evidence something tangible? Something you can see or touch.

Can't do that with a soul. You believe people have souls based on what you've only read about others experiences or stories of near death. But have you seen the hard proof?

Maybe you get my point now.

I understand what ATS is about and how it works. I'm newer here but I think I get it. And that might be why this thread is in the skunkworks forum. If no hard proof is supplied then we can let it slide.

I've seen far crazier theories on ATS without any hard proof, trust me.

Well, if you *did* have a right to tell me to buzz off your thread, I would have even more of a right to tell the OP to buzz off the forum, because as it is, the only reason this thread is still here is because the mods don't faithfully enforce the rules for reasons that are still unknown to me. It's not just the spiritual issues that the mod doesn't prove, it's also the stuff about mind control and alien dominance.

Skunkworks *does* have relaxed rules, but the way it was supposed to work was like this-speculation or things that only *you* could possibly know, such as a paranormal visitation, etc. could be posted here. Here's what happened. The original post was a claim to fact (not speculation). Yes, you do have the all-too-easy copout that OP gave that his/her information was "encoded in (his/her) spirit", but this was *only* after another poster asked for it. If the OP had *any* source for the original post other than his/her fertile imagination, why didn't (s?)he provide us with it in the first place? Face it, OP is a hoaxster, and (s?)he is pulling the wool over your eyes. The truth will set you free.

Whether or not I've been lurking is irrelevant. Point is, I've been following the alternative research community for most of my life now, and I know from first-hand experience what damage "poisoning the well" can do. I've seen the disinformation regarding 9/11 and the damage it's wrongfully done to honest and legitimate researchers...we don't need the same thing in the UFO community.
