As was said, why would the US need to do this, and not the Israeli's?
Maybe the US Wanted direct contact with air defenses or to see how well their jamming tech worked against Iranian Tech.
Just because they carried nuclear weapons, doesnt mean they intended on using them, but in the same sense, under what circumstances would you prepare
with nuclear weapons when your launching a daring cross border raid on a facility?
If a few jets were shot down, would that justify a nuclear strike?
If so thats bloody scary.
Also, there were many jets involved, so the idea that 2 nukes being carried automatically means no other weapons were used is crap!
multiple planes, multiple attacking options.
Now the US has shown as of late its more than willing to cross into Pakistan and Syria to strike down 'terrorist/insurgent' factions..
So why not a nuclear facility?
But, wouldnt it benefit the US More to photograph, document & gather evidence of cladestine nuclear activities to show the world
