Linky. My teacher (today) first introduced me to this story. She stated that cancer is not merely hereditary anymore (as was the view in the past, so she says), as cancer and obesity may very well go hand-in-hand. I argued that (a) obesity is hereditary and cancer can thus be described as hereditary and that (b) the obesity-cancer link is only a correlation. Let's talk!

yes. It's true that obesity and cancer are related because the chemicals that are put into processed foods cause obesity and they cause cancer. Personally, I think the whole "cancer is hereditary" idea is just propaganda handed down from the powers that be to make us think it's just our 'lot in life' to get cancer because our parents had it. They started putting chemicals into the food, water and products over a hundred years ago and the illnesses came along with it.
