We all know that last vote 2004 the exit polls did not match the outcome then the 2000 election we had the famous chads.

Our news people downplayed all of this, but reported on one country that had to do a recount because the people came out in masses to protest due to the exit polls being so different than the outcome.

We should vote just like we always have, then I think there should be a locked box one for each candidate, guarded by several security guards and as each person goes out the door after voting they could drop one penny in the box that belonged to the candidate that they voted for, only one penny, at the end of the day weigh the boxes, count the votes and see if they are close, compare the exit polls. See if they all match up, this would off course give them one more thing they have to control and make it a little harder to cheat.

Though I mentioned the two elections in which a republican won there is another election in which a democrat won in the past that is also questioned, so this is not about keeping just the republicans fair it is about keeping both sides honest.

Of course there would be a few idiots who would not drop one penny to verify their vote, but most would and it would give us an idea as to how accurate the votes are by the tally of the pennies by weight, and the exit polls, the money would all go to several designated chairities like St. Judes childrens hospital or some others chosen by the states.

Anyway what do you think, is this a good idea, would it work?
