Nostradamus predicts something big Nov 2 - 5, 2007 ???

How could you miss a reference to the Olympics? The games of slaughter?
And the line goes "The year of the great seventh number accomplished"
To me , since accomplished is a past tense I would infer that it mean AFTER 2007 not during. As for dead comeing out of their graves? That could mean many things. It could be a reference to the Skull and bones becomeing more open...It could mean radiation.. It could be a reference to cloneing humans...it could be the writeings of a drunken old fool.. who knows...I dont really think the last one is right but I consider it in fairness to all possiblities.

You could be right about the reference to the Olympics, but which Olympic game is most deserving of the moniker "games of slaughter"?

Right now, it's football season. There was just a slaughter in college ball, with Navy beating Notre Dame for the first time in 44 years , and the most anticipated NFL game in a decade is Sunday. Perhaps the great goals of 2007 from a certain point of view are accomplished.

Add to that the fact that King Tut has just been exhumed from his grave after 3,000 years today, ("and the dead will come out from their graves"), a comet that just brightened (it?), and you probably have enough coincident events for a movie at least.

Originaly when the olympics started back in greece some 4 or 6000 years ago people died all the time. Hence "games of slaughter" They also did it in the buff. I'm sure wiki has a good historical artical all about the first olymipc games.

Since Gengis Khan conquered all of Central and West Asia, most middle easterners and especially most central asians, afghanis, uzbekis, etc are related to Gengis Khan; albiet a miniscule amount at this point.

So Bin Laden is like the modern Gengis Khan or something?

That's very very interesting!! It even ties in with all the Zombie humor going on this thread because now we have a mummy which is basically the same thing. Also, Isn't there some kind of Mummies Curse associated with King Tut??? I'm sure he's not too happy with these people moving him around!

Maybe Nos's predictions were about the fabled 5th November event planned on ATS Does he give any reference to a muchly hyped event running under the guise of a revolution....

Maybe he is talking about apathetic voters voting in Tue elections..

Shame Nostradamus didn't predict the hype surrounding the 'Revoulution' to-day.... I could of slept instead of watching people having a party What did we learn ??? Nothing.....

All I know is, something big better happen fairly quickly, or old Nostril gets another big tally mark in the 'wrong again' column.

you know the prophecy about the hetacombles (cant spell it) it means the 2008 olympic games, because i read in a book that the hetacombes means the games, also in another prophesy he talks about the games "setting the east a flame" guess were the games are in 2008... Hong Kong

I received a lot of replies on this and other forums suggesting the 2008 olympics and that is definitely something to keep in mind and look for in the near future in terms of this prophesy.

In the mean time, I'm going to keep an eye on comet Holmes. I think the appearance of this comet and it's strange attributes coupled with the removal of king tuts body from his sarcophagus for the first time in 3000 years(a fairly significant event) are enough coincidence to keep me looking up for the next month or two!!

Ok, its the 7th of November here....and nothing yet???? Thats what bugs me. It can be 2 different dates around the world, so if the prophecy comes true on the 5/11 in, say the UK and its the 6/11 here in OZ......is the prophecy still true?

Looks like ol' Mike got it wrong again. Nothing particularly noteworthy happened. As for predicting something to happen "after" a particular date, that's like the ultimate cheat. I hereby predict that a huge earthquake will hit New York after 1/1/08. That means if it hits in 2145, I get credit!

Yeah, it's a good thing Nostradamus made his money before a lot of the predictions came due.

Now, WHAT does this mean? I dont get a prophesy from this.

What event follows this?
What event precedes it?

Whatever "it" is, I suppose it will appear. Unfortunately, since the verses aren't necessarily in order, that makes it a little difficult to figure out what "it" is from the context. Something will apparently appear. Not a person, I guess.

And there's no hint what " IT" is.

Does anyone know the quatrain preceding it or following it? Maybe "IT" will be more obvious then?

First of all the games of slaughter can mean just about anything. It could be a reference to wargames, sports, natural or unnatural catastrophe. A lot of people jump on it as a reference to the olympics but with nostradamus we never know if he his being straight forward or playing with words.


The "It" that will appear is not defined at all really. But a comet fits nicely because "It" does imply a thing and not a person.

In terms of comet predictions by nostradamus:

I like all the ideas. I thought I'd give it a try.Let me know what you think. I thought maybe it has to do with a timeframe starting. Times of great slaughter could mean a lot. Lets say something started in October, maybe even towards the end of September. And this is setting something into motion or maybe counting something. Thanksgiving could be the games of Slaughter.
