The Sun are running with a save our bacon front page, where a report into cancer has suggested a link. Should we be taking heed, or is this a case of
food we have always eaten (the report specifies red meat) where at some point we're going to die anyway, and we are just being wrapped up in cotton
wool?
I don't recall the report proposing that bacon should be banned or prohibited...
All it did was outline what kinds of things are believed to cause cancer. It's entirely up to each individual whether they decide to follow it or
not. I really can't see where they've come up with this one (No government is going to ban bacon because they'd be swept out of power at the next
election... if it got past the inevitable rebellion in Parliament). Mind you, British tabloids aren't known for being the most truthful of sources
(especially those part of the Murdoch media empire)
