How many of you believe you are not a psychic? Or... that you don't have psychic abilities? If a person can see visions at different times in their lifetime, are they psychic?

I suspect that many of you, if not all of you have had dreams. with your eyes closed.

Can you honestly tell me you have never had a dream.

Is a dream something that is scientific? Or, is it more of a psychic quality?

How many people realize that Nikola Tesla was interested in psychic phenomenon. He had over 1,000 patents; and is famous the world over.

Do you realize that one of the last things that he was working on was a machine that would look into your eye, and photograph your dreams. In his reasoning, if your brain could work out images coming through your eyes, then he could photograph dreams in your mind by reversing the process.

Can you imagine being able to make movies of your dreams, simply by mounting a camera that could look into your eyes, and it would see the magnetic image of your dream inside you. Do you realize how wild that sounds..... But it was his idea, and he was working on it when he died. Let's face it, when Nikola Tesla thought something was possible, then more than likely it was or is, no matter how crazy it may sound.

Many of you would be rich, if we could see your dreams. Many of you would have lucid wild dreams, and many of you would have nightmares, and many of you would have all kinds of dreams. Are dreams some sort of psychic ability? Or.... can you explain them scientifically?

Whether Randi is a fraud or non-scientist aint relevant to me.

Extraordinary claims, require extraordinary proof...to paraphrase. Randi just says he is a magician. He shows you he is a fraud...so does that make him one?

All the Psychic fools altogether have not proven anything much outside of their deluded minds.IMHO.

Science has advanced by thought experiments by the like of Einstein. But his leaps of imagination are nothing compared to the claims by the psychic elite.

Personally I would take Randi over any of the psychic fools. Anyhow the gifted, psychic elite should be in support of Randi. He looks like Santa Claus...and there is as much proof of Clausis as there is of any psychic phenomena

he is a tricky guy--the contract one must sign before the experiment, has a "fine print clause" and this and only this is the reason NO one has goTten the claim money. if you sign the contract and then do the experiment and do well--he will say "sorry. i do not think you qualified as a true psychic..or whatever.." and then tells you that if you were really psychic--you would have known the actual outcome would have turned out this way--and then he laughs at the participant.

he wants to be able to say there are no real psychics--and this is how he has done it--and keeps on doing it. i looked at it (romotely viewing the contract--and also "seeing" the actual outcome for past participants) and i told him the only real fraud was Randi himself.

and as for the tilting table--I KNOW THE EXACT WORDS TO SAY.
i do not think one can be a pure and true atheist and be able to do these things--the words require a belief in a being so powerful that using WORDS can change things in this world that we see, touch and smell.
so that is why they dont believe it--
THEY CANNOT DO IT--they do not have the required mindset.

Sorry to bring this up to all that have said Randi chooses the criteria for determining psychic ability (and apologies for the old thread revival), but I did a little bit of digging and found that the Australian skeptic society is currently offering 100,00AUD for anyone that can prove they are psychic. The offer has been going for a number of years apparently, yet nobody has proven they got it. And one other thing.......the situation and environment is not controlled by the testers, but rather a mutual agreement between them and the person being tested

Well if I told you you were full of it, do you think you would reply kindly to me? How can Randi be a fraud when he explains how he allows a psychic to peform, and then replicates the exact same thing himself, and then explains how he does it? The only people lying are the ones that claim they used psychic power to peform the task they chose
