Has anyone ever noticed how the majority of people claiming to have jobs in which they are required to hold security, or high level clearance of some kind, have THE most atrocious spelling/grammar?

It just strikes me as odd that someone would be selected for these assignments, when they clearly struggle with mastery of their native tongue.

I know that their are multi-national contributors on here, but in my experience the worst cases are English/American.

I have a cousin who is a psychological profiler and her current job is to assess potential interview candidates for positions of relative importance in her local COUNCIL.

Surely - There would be similar if not stricter processes in place for such important assignments?

I know that there are various afflictions out there such as dyslexia; however, were I a military type looking for an operative to carry out an assignment in which they may be privy to information valuable enough to be deemed secret by myself or my superiors/employers - I would most certainly want them to be damn near perfect in every way so as to avoid the possibility of any kind of leak.

I can't explain it any better than that - I just see the appalling spelling and grammar and my minds eye conjures the image of a person who desperately wants to be on the inside but would never have come close to making it; so now moves in the conspiracy circles safe in the almost certain knowledge that there will be a percentage that will swallow every word, hook, line and sinker.
