Help putting a link in my sig that says something different?

Topic started on 28-10-2007 @ 02:01 PM by bigbert81

Sorry if this is somewhere on here. I couldn't find it. Can anyone here help me put a link that says a specific phrase in my signature? I tried copying from what someone else did, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I see the Benjamin Franklin quote are you trying to change to something else?

Thanks

The best thing to do is use the bbl code that you would use here on the board to link to a page.

To get it, open a new post window. click on the pic of the globe up above, in the middle of the post tool bar. type in whatever you want to name the link, hit enter. Then insert the URL in the second box that pops up.

The code with the URL and the name of the link will pop up in the posting box. Highlight and CTRL-C the whole thing, then close the window without hitting "post reply." Then put the line of code in your sig.

No doubt some people actually know what code to type and don't have to do the extra step or two, but I can't be bothered.

Glad to be helpful.

Could somebody please tell me how to display a graphic in my signature?

I tried pasting a line of text from a site that the graphic is on into my signature line, but when I did, and looked at my postings, all it showed was the line of text, not the graphic.

The text was:

href="http://www.danasoft.com"> "http://www.danasoft.com/vipersig.jpg" border="0">

style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px;">Sign by Dealighted - href="http://www.dealighted.com">Coupons & Discount Shopping

And it comes from the site shown here:

www.danasoft.com...

Any help would be very much appreciated.

And sorry, OP, for hijacking your thread. I thought it best not to start a new topic with this question, but rather use one that already existed.

Thanks.

Unfortunately OldMan the signature your trying to install is to large 267px99p and should be removed or resized.
