Let's get some predictions for the NFL playoffs and the 2008 Super Bowl.

Pick your 6 AFC playoff teams and 6 NFC playoff teams. Indicate which two in each conference you think will get the first round bye weeks (division winners automatically seeded 1-4). Then, go through the match-ups until you determine your two Super Bowl teams.

Reminder (for those who don't know) #3 plays #6 and #4 plays #5 in the first round. Second round is #1 vs lowest seed to advance, and #2 plays the other team to advance. Third round is obviously the winners of those games.

Here are mine:

AFC

1. New England Patriots
2. Indianapolis Colts
3. San Diego Chargers
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
5. Jacksonville Jaguars
6. Baltimore Ravens

NFC

1. Green Bay Packers (Yeah, I'm biased. Don't care.)
2. Dallas Cowboys
3. Carolina Panthers
4. Seattle Seahawks
5. New York Giants
6. Washington Redskins

Wild Card Round

San Diego defeats Baltimore
Jacksonville defeats Pittsburgh
Washington defeats Carolina
New York defeats Seattle

Divisional Round

New England defeats Jacksonville
Indianapolis defeats San Diego
Green Bay defeats Washington
Dallas defeats New York

Conference Round

New England defeats Indianapolis
Green Bay defeats Dallas

Super Bowl

New England defeats Green Bay

Now your predictions...

Super Bowl? I've said it and I'm sticking by it...

NFC: Dallas Cowboys

AFC: New England Patriots (BOOOOOOO)

My prediction:... I hate to say it, but New England wins yet another Super Bowl. :shk: I'm a Cowboys fan, but I just don't see anyone beating New England, especially in the Super Bowl.

With Koren Robinson back, the Pack is REALLY back now. I just hope Franks' replacement can hold his own on Monday. Here's to all fellow Packer backers!

You're joking, right?

Just in case you aren't - no, he's in the Hall of Fame, which you have to be retired for five years to be eligible, and the Houston team he played for has since moved to Tennessee.

I'm not sure. What they really need are running backs, not wide receivers. They have Jennings, Driver, Jones, and Martin, all of them pretty good (or at least Favre makes them look good).

And Franks' back up, Donald Lee..I think he's actually better than Franks.

Green Bay will most likely be in the playoffs. From what I have seen of them though, Brett Favre and their defense are basically carrying the load for them. Their receiving corp is very young and I really don't see anyone stepping up for them at the running back position. We'll see.

I guess that means that Bum Phillips probably isn't coaching them anymore, right? And I suppose Earl Campbell has been traded also?

Hmmm...after much pondering and deep thought...

NFC...*
1). Seattle Seahawks...so I'm a homer, sue me.
2). Dallas Cowboys...I shudder just typing this...

3). Green Bay...Someones got to win the division.
4). Carolina Panthers...ehhh...
5). Washington Redskins...Maybe better than Dallas by the time playoffs roll around.
6). New York Giants...Ditto.

AFC...*
1). Indianapolis Colts...Defending champs, the best 'til someone beats 'em.
1a). New England Patriots...Brady and the boys will give Indy all they want.
3). Pittsburgh Steelers...Take 'em seriously, or they'll put a whoppin' on ya.
4). San Diego Chargers...Started slow, but are beginning to play better.
5). Baltimore Ravens...Good club. Won't go any further, but they make the dance.
6). Jacksonville Jaguars...Ditto.

*In no particular order.

NFC Champion: Seattle Seahawks
AFC Champion: New England Partiots

Superbowl Champion: New England Patriots...As much as it gags me to admit.
