Have you ever read any books by Robert Monroe? Maybe you should check out the section on Focus 34/35 that is also called "The Gathering". I believe it was in his book "Far Journey's".

I thought i was the only one who heard voices recently....

This "Gathering" is quite interesting, but i must bring forth a message of doom or is it a message of a new beginning?

A few months ago, Aug. 9 of this year to be exact, i heard a voice for the very first time.

it said:

"The end is coming"

I heard this just after i woke up, there was no one else in the room either and the voice was just like the original poster described it, a mix of female and male voices, soft as the wind and is a direct message to me.

I sense change in the air, sometimes i cant sleep. Just a few weeks ago i witnessed how powerful our subconscious can be, i had a dream about the moon with a halo around it, and in an instant someone told me that it was something about ice crystals in the atmosphere or something similar to that, and the dream was correct, it was like i was half awake, i confirmed this after i did some research.

could it be possible that subconsciously, we are communicating with each other who are capable of hearing this message?

Now, how's that for unbelievable?

Just the sheer number of people posting in this thread makes it believable. You cant all have hallucinations.

Very open minded. I think "spiritual guidance" is within us all. It's those that open themselves up to it and embrace it that have a grasp of certain feelings rather than those who close themselves off from such feelings.

I act upon instinct. If I feel it's right in my heart, I will not second guess an action. If I have doubt, I'll ponder one way or another before acting.

I have life changing experiences weekly. When I see the greatest thing in the world at work. Human emotion. The average being has the greatest capacity for love, hate, happiness and sorrow. Many people repress such emotions to keep the opposing side at bay. For instance, someone will stifle loving emotions in an attempt to feel no sadness. It's kind of a "Bi-polar" mindset. I'm afraid this has become the norm for our species. It's a pre-emptive protective instinct.

Anyway, I have not "received" any messages. Though, I have had these feelings for quit sometime. I guess it was about a year and a half ago that I started wake up from this government induced coma and realize that not all things are as they seem and the average human being is taking this planet into a dire, no-turning-back direction. Not only environmentally, but economically, socially, politically, spiritually, emotionally and philosophically. Earth is heading in a bad direction for the species of mankind. I think, in my sense, that it's just been an accumulation of knowledge that has brewed in my psyche for so long that I've "awoke" my reasonable self to awareness. I do believe in a higher power, but not one that is traditionally thought of and certainly not one that would interfer into the lives of other beings with miracles, or messages. I think life is a beautiful struggle. And it's one that we're losing as a collective whole.

I'm not sure what it was that you revieve as a message. But, I do have one bit of advice. Don't sit on it and wait for something to happen. Make it happen yourself. Just as you've reached out to those here on ATS for guidance or recognition, take your feelings to others. Many people are not as accepting or alternative ideas as people here on ATS. So, maybe just reach out with the ideas of what you want to change rather than seeking those who've "heard the call".

Change what you feel is wrong, or no one will.

I have not really had anything like this, but I also get the feeling of change.

There was one time I heard a voice, though. I was in that state where I was still awake, but was getting close to falling asleep - was taking a nap. I suddenly heard this very distinct male voice say something to the effect of "Get back!!!" I wasn't scared by it, but it was so distinct, that it startled me into being fully awake. The reason I am pretty sure I wasn't dreaming, was because when I dream, I never hear distinct voices. If someone says something, it's more like I feel what they just said, rather than hearing it. But this was a distinct voice, far too distinct to be coming from a dream.

It seemed like the voice was warning me of something, or perhaps trying to wake me in an attempt to protect me from something. I don't know. I have yet to figure this one out. This happened, maybe seven or eight years ago.

I have to raise the point that this entire thread is based on a voice heard by one person. Others have also claimed to hear voices, but without any evidence of these "voices" I don't see the purpose in speculating. We all hear voices from time to time, whether it be our conscience or just talking to ourselves. I task the people who hear these voices to offer any evidence of these claims.

If there heard in your head how can evidence be provided? You yourself state that "We all hear voices from time to time".

If you admit that, then you have to admit to the possibility of what the posters are claiming on this thread is true at least to them.

Also, given the shear number of posters claiming similar experiences in and of itself should be evidence of at least something going on.

Ahem, i have an announcement to make;

I my deep-thought last night i remembered the specifics of the voice i heard, i wasn't actually told about any gathering whatsoever - it was infact my very own name - except in a voice i've never heard before.

It is possible the thought was subconciously implanted, and then formed into coherence the same way one would unzip a file or decompress data, but i know for a certainty now that i have been expecting this - that i would be sitting at my computer discussing 'teh gathering' (fairly ambiguous as it is) over the internet.

I had infact expected to be talking about it on another forum, but it seems that place didn't change the way i expected it to, whereas ATS has always met the aesthetic quality represented by the foresight.

As for the importance of what i have revealed (or what has been revealed to me, perhaps), i can only say that either my mind is playing tricks on itself, or that i am in the grip of whatever-the-hell it is and it's power.

What exactly does age, race, and location have to do with these messages?

Are certain races, age groups and geographic locations not in on the whole thing? I am just curious as to what conclusions you're trying to draw. I not sure if any of those things factor into this at all.

For the record my wife and I have heard these messages, and whole lot more. It's been somewhat of a struggle and learning process. I know why this is going on now though and it's the season for it. If I told you all my whole story I am sure you would not believe it. I just see now that the ancient peoples actually knew what they were talking about. It wasn't just myth and petroglyph art sessions.

I suppose we'll all find out soon enough.

I heard that Archangel Raphael made a gathering somewhere in the astral, with millions of people, someone who was there told me about it. It might be what you're referring to.

I've not received any audible message, but I have strong impressions to "be prepared" and a real sense of forboding. Maybe I'm just pre-occupied with the upcoming election. But, when I'm outside just walking, I get the feeling that everything I see around me will be gone in a short while.

Also, does anyone lay awake in their room at night, wanting to be abducted or visited by extra-terrestrials? Not that I'm into probing or anything like that, but it is very important to me to know that something exists outside of my "so-called" reality. I believe in God, but I struggle sometimes with the concept of faith in things unseen. As I get older, I find myself fighting to hang onto this life. I don't want death to be the end all. But, there is absolutely no "proof" that anything else exists outside of death. I don't want my mind to cease. To put it bluntly, I'm very afraid of ceasing to exist. Of course, the irony is that I would never know.

So, my abduction fixation is based on the fact that if something exists outside of what I perceive to be known reality, then perhaps I could rest assured that I will continue on after death.

O.K. I'll stop with the wierdness now.
